  8. Enter the code in the app.

f you are having trouble to login, check here: How to login?

Important: always log in with the same method you signed up with

Step 1 — Choose what you'd like to list

Choose the main type of experience you want to offer:

  • Chef services — private chefs, long-term personal chefs, catering, cooking workshops, meal-prep, and more.
  • Venues & locations — list a private dining room, restaurant, vineyard, or other event venue.
  • Products (coming soon) — meal boxes, wine boxes, artisan products.

You can always add more services, venues, or products later. Once you've chosen, tap Create your profile.

Step 2 — Personal information

  1. Add your first and last name.
  2. For your phone number, select your country first, then enter your number. It’s very important to add a number that you also use for WhatsApp, as we’ll send you lead notifications and important updates by message. Your phone number may also be shared with your clients so they can contact you directly regarding their booking.
  3. Add your native language, then any other languages you speak (this is shown to clients).
  4. Select the country where you live, work, or where your business is registered. This is really important because your business location will determine the applicable requirements and settings for your account. Check here for more details.
  5. Tap Continue.

Step 3 — Select the services you offer

Select all the services you can provide — for example: Private chef, Long-term personal chef, Meal-prep services, Catering, Wedding catering, Cooking workshops, Luxury meal boxes and meal kits, Showcooking, BBQ catering, Food trucks, Buffet catering, OFYR experiences. Check here what are all the services you can offer.
Tap Continue, then choose which of these is your primary service.

Step 4 — Profile photo and bio

  • Add your profile photo — AI-generated photos aren't allowed, we want to keep things real.
  • Fill in About You, which is what appears on your public profile. This is your opportunity to introduce yourself to potential clients and show them what makes you unique. Share your culinary background, previous experience, how many years you’ve been working as a chef, your specialties, and any particular skills or experiences that set you apart.

Step 5 — Cuisines, specialties, and dietary options

Select the cuisines and specialties you genuinely know how to cook — French, Italian, Greek, fusion, Japanese, and more. This is what we use to match you when a client requests a specific type of food, so only select what you can actually deliver well. Also select any special diets you can cook for, such as vegan, halal, or kosher. Tap Continue.

Step 6 — Service area and radius

Set your service area — we recommend using your home address, office, or wherever you're based — and select a radius you're available to travel within. We'll send you client requests within that radius.
For example, a chef based in Paris might set a 50km radius.

If you're not sure what radius makes sense, this tool can help visualize distances: calcmaps.com/map-radius.
See How do I set my location? for the full walkthrough.

Step 7 — Block unavailable dates

Keeping your availability calendar up to date is one of the easiest ways to improve your experience on ChefMaison. An accurate calendar helps us match you with relevant guests, reduces unnecessary booking requests, and helps you avoid receiving requests for dates you're not available.
Why it matters:

  • Receive more relevant requests — your availability is factored into matching, so an up-to-date calendar means requests that actually fit your schedule.
  • Create recurring availability rules — if you're regularly unavailable on certain days (every Friday, for example), you can set a recurring rule instead of blocking each date one by one.

See Keeping Your Calendar Updated for the full guide.

Step 8 — Add photos

Photos and videos are where you sell your service and make clients curious to know more about your work.

Logos, social media handles, or contact details aren't allowed in your photos — use real photos, not AI-generated ones.

Tap Add more photos, select the photos you'd like to add (up to 20), and tap the checkmark.
See How do I upload photos and videos to my profile? for more detail.

Step 9 — Add videos

Same process as photos — add videos that showcase your work using the same upload flow.

Step 10 — Indicative pricing

Set your price per guest and any pricing tiers. You can define your base price per guest based on the number of guests — and create different pricing tiers for different group sizes.
See How do I update my prices? for the full breakdown, including how this connects to personal-request proposals and the "price per day" option.

Step 11 — Social media

Add your social media accounts. This isn't visible to clients — it's used only as part of our review criteria when approving your profile.

Step 12 — Business & tax info

It's mandatory to add your tax information so we can stay compliant. If you're registered as a business and your VAT number is validated in the EU system, ChefMaison can apply the VAT reverse-charge mechanism for cross-border transactions — meaning no VAT is added to your commission, and you handle your own VAT reporting locally. This is why validated businesses in most EU countries pay a lower commission rate (15%).
See How much is the Commission? for the full picture. Tap Continue to next step.

Step 13 — Understanding your Stripe account

This is also where you connect your Stripe account. We pay you 2 days after your event, for the value of your menu that you proposed to your client, minus commission.
Check How do I get paid? for the full details.

Step 14 — Identity verification

Upload a document — a passport, ID card, or driver's license (front and back) — so we can verify your identity.

Accept our Terms

Finally, accept our Terms & Conditions.
Check the full terms here.
Check our cancellation policy here.

What happens after you submit

Your profile stays pending until it goes through our verification process, gets approved, and is published — it isn't automatically accepted. We need to confirm you're real and able to deliver a good experience for clients. This can take 3–7 business days.

That's it — the essential first part of creating your profile is complete!
