How do I get paid?

Getting paid and understanding exactly how the process works — is essential, so here's exactly how and when your payout happens.

When your payout is triggered

Your payout is triggered 2 days after the event has taken place. This short waiting period exists to protect both sides: it confirms the service was successfully delivered before the funds move.

When the money actually arrives in your bank account

The 2-day trigger is when the transfer starts — it isn't when the money lands in your bank account. Once released, the transfer to your bank typically takes an additional 1–2 business days to arrive, depending on Stripe and your bank's processing time.
Weekends and public holidays can add a bit more time, since banks don't process transfers on those days.

Where your money is held until then

Clients pay through the ChefMaison platform, and those funds are held securely in your account from the moment they pay until the event is completed. Once the event has taken place and the 2-day trigger passes, the payout is released automatically — no invoice to submit, no approval step to wait on.

Some countries (for example the UAE, Brazil, and South Africa) aren't supported for direct Stripe payouts.

If that applies to you, your payout is still triggered the same way, but is arranged via manual bank transfer instead — which can mean a bit more variability in arrival time.

What if I don't receive my payout on time?

If it's been more than 3 business days since your event and you still haven't received your payout, contact operations@chefmaison.com with your booking reference so we can check it for you.
