Is it possible to call my chef in the app?
Yes. ChefMaison allows you to communicate with your chef using the built-in chat and videocall feature.
However, phone calls outside the platform (such as WhatsApp or personal calls) are not supported.

How can I call the chef / use the videocall feature?
You can start a videocall directly from your chat with the chef.
Steps to start a call:
- Open your conversation with the chef in ChefMaison
- Click the video call icon in the chat
- Wait for the chef to join the call
During the call, you can use both audio and video to discuss your event in real time.
When to use videocalls
Videocalls are useful to:
- Discuss menu ideas more clearly
- Align on event expectations
- Clarify special requests or dietary needs
- Get to know the chef before confirming the booking
How do I enable audio and video in the ChefMaison app?
📱 On Android
- Open your Settings app
- Go to Apps
- Find and select the ChefMaison app
- Tap Permissions
- Enable:
- 📷 Camera
- 🎤 Microphone
You can also enable permissions the first time you start a videocall — your phone will ask you to allow access.
🍎 On iOS (iPhone / iPad)
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap ChefMaison
- Enable:
- Camera
- Microphone
Alternatively, when starting a videocall for the first time, iOS will ask you to grant permission — tap Allow.
💡 If audio or video is not working
- Make sure permissions are enabled in your device settings
- Close and reopen the app
- Restart your phone if needed
- Ensure no other app is currently using your camera or microphone
Once permissions are enabled, you will be able to fully use audio and video during videocalls with your chef.
