How automatically translate messages inside the chat
If your chef speaks a different language, you can enable Auto Translate in the chat. This feature automatically translates incoming and outgoing messages, allowing you to communicate easily within the ChefMaison app.
How to enable Auto Translate
- Open your conversation with the chef.
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select Chat Info.
- Enable Auto Translate.
Messages will now be translated automatically while you chat.

Why use Auto Translate?
- Communicate easily with chefs from around the world.
- Avoid using external translation apps.
- Keep all communication secure within ChefMaison.
- Discuss menus, dietary preferences, and event details more comfortably.
💡 Tip: Automatic translation works best when messages are short and clear.
How does Auto Translate work?
ChefMaison's Auto Translate feature automatically translates chat messages into the language set on your device, not the language selected in the app.
For example:
- Your ChefMaison app is set to Spanish.
- Your phone's device language is set to Italian.
➡️ Your chat messages will be translated into Italian, because Auto Translate follows your device language.
How to change the translation language
To change the language used by Auto Translate, you'll need to change your device language in your phone's settings.
On iPhone (iOS):
- Open Settings.
- Go to General → Language & Region.
- Change your iPhone Language.
On Android:
- Open Settings.
- Go to System → Languages (the exact menu may vary by device).
- Select your preferred device language.
Once your device language is updated, Auto Translate will automatically use the new language for your conversations.
The App Language and the Auto Translate language are independent settings. Changing the app language only changes the interface (menus, buttons, and screens). Chat translations always follow your device's language.
