# What type of services can I offer?

When you set up your profile, you'll choose the main type of experience you want to offer. Here's what each option actually means, with simple examples — no confusion, no guesswork.
## Step 1: The 3 main categories
* **Chef services** — private chefs, long-term personal chefs, catering, cooking workshops, meal-prep, and more.
* **Venues & locations** — listing a private dining room, restaurant, vineyard, or other venue for events (not cooking yourself — the space itself).
* **Products** *(coming soon)* — meal boxes, wine boxes, artisan products.
You can always add more services, venues, or products later — you don't need to decide everything on day one.

## Step 2: What each Chef service actually means
* **Private chef** You cook for guests at *their* location — their home, a villa, a yacht, wherever they're hosting. Example: a couple books you to cook a birthday dinner at their apartment.
* **Long-term personal chef** Instead of a single event, you're hired for an ongoing period — like being a family's personal chef for a week, a season, or a longer contract. Example: a family on a 2-week holiday hires you to cook breakfast and dinner every day at their villa.
* **Meal-prep services** You cook meals at the client's home, or prepare them in advance for delivery — think batch-cooked meals for the week, not a single sit-down dinner. Example: a client asks you to prepare 5 days of lunches and dinners in one visit.
* **Catering** Large-scale food service for events — weddings, corporate events, parties, and more. Example: you're hired to cater a 100-guest corporate holiday party.
* **Wedding catering** Specifically managing weddings — both the catering itself and the logistics around it, for weddings large or small. Example: you handle the full catering and setup for a 60-guest wedding reception.
* **Cooking workshops** You host a hands-on cooking class or workshop for a group, either at the guest's venue or your own location. Example: a group books a 2-hour pasta-making workshop with you.
* **Luxury meal boxes and meal kits** You sell and deliver (or offer pickup for) pre-made meal boxes or kits — not a live cooking event. Example: a client orders a curated meal box delivered to their door.
* **Showcooking** You host a live cooking demonstration or "show" for an audience — more performance/entertainment-focused than a regular dinner service. Example: you cook live in front of guests at a corporate event, narrating as you go.
* **BBQ catering** You host BBQ-style events, at the guest's venue or your own location. Example: you're booked to run a full BBQ spread for a summer garden party.
* **Food trucks** You own and operate one or more food trucks. Example: your food truck is booked to serve a street food festival.
* **Buffet catering** You host buffet-style events — guests serve themselves from a spread you've prepared — at the guest's venue or your own. Example: a corporate lunch where you set up a full buffet for 80 people.
* **OFYR experiences** You host an OFYR-style experience (open-fire cooking, typically on an OFYR grill) at the guest's venue or your own location. Example: a live open-fire cooking experience for a group dinner outdoors.
## Step 3: Select all that apply, then pick your primary service
You can select **as many of these as genuinely apply to you** — most chefs offer more than one. Once you've selected them all, you'll be asked to choose your **primary service**: the one that best represents what you do most, or want to be known for first. This helps clients understand your main focus at a glance, even if you offer several services.
> 💡 Only select what you can actually deliver well — this is exactly what we use to match you with the right client requests, so accuracy here means better-fit leads for you.
