# How do I contact a chef?

On the right side of a chef's profile, you'll find a form to check their availability and request a quote directly. Here's how to fill it out.

## Check chef's availability
* **Location**: type the address and wait for it to appear in the list, then select it from the list.
* **Date**: pick your event date. If your event spans multiple days, use **+ Multiple days** to select a start and end date.
* **When is your event?**: let the chef know the time of day for your event.
* **Amount of guests**: include children in this number too.
* **Amount of courses**: how many courses you're expecting for the meal.
* Then click in Request Quote & Chat

The price shown at this stage is just an **indication** — your final price can change based on your specific needs and any additional costs, such as:
* Ingredients and groceries
* The chef's professional time
* Preparation and shopping
* Transportation and travel time
* Fuel and tolls
* Additional staff
* Premium ingredients or special requirements
* Any other costs related to the event
The address you enter is also used to calculate the chef's travel expenses — but again, this is only an **indicative** starting point.
## Getting your exact price
To get an accurate price for your event, chat directly with the chef and explain what you're looking for — the menu, any special requests, and the details of your occasion. Once the chef understands your needs, they'll be able to give you a proposal with an exact price.
> 💡 The more detail you share with your chef upfront, the more accurate and personalized your proposal will be — don't hesitate to ask questions before confirming anything.
