# Do I need to create invoices?

**You don't need to create or send any invoice yourself — ChefMaison generates everything automatically.** To make this fully clear, here's exactly which invoices exist, split by who they're between.
## The invoices issued to you (the chef)
There are 2 invoices generated that involve you directly:
1. **An invoice from ChefMaison to you**, charging the commission on the booking.
2. **An invoice in your name, to ChefMaison**, for the amount you're owed — your menu value minus the commission. This is essentially the documentation behind your payout.
## The invoices issued to the client
Separately, the client also receives 2 invoices — these aren't something you need to manage, but it's useful to understand what they are:
1. **An invoice in your name, to the client**, for the value of the menu/proposal you sent.
2. **A separate invoice from ChefMaison to the client**, for the admin/service fee — this fee is actually charged by Stripe, and it's sent under ChefMaison's name, not yours.
## What this means for you
* You never need to issue an invoice yourself for a ChefMaison booking — everything above is generated automatically.
* The invoices in your name reflect the items and VAT rates you set on your proposal.
* If anything looks off, or you're missing one of your invoices, reach out to us at [**operations@chefmaison.com**](mailto:operations@chefmaison.com) and we'll help sort it out.
> 💡 As a marketplace, we handle all the invoicing automatically — including the commission and payout documentation — so you can focus on the event itself and have fun!
